Dr. Van Schenck was raised in Sacramento, California. He graduated from University of Arizona in Tucson with a B.S with Honors in Physiological Sciences. He attended University College Cork School of Medicine in Cork, Ireland and the University of Florida Psychiatric Residency. He was Chief of Staff of Outpatient Psychiatry in California for many years before moving to practice psychiatry in Tennessee. He believes that all patients deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. This respect involves mutual treatment decisions designed to enhance the entire quality of life of the patient.
